Cup of dirt? Oh yes, its a cup of dirt!

But, it's a cup of dirt in a good way AND it is THE easiest to make! I know so many people are a fan of the '1 bowl' desserts and this is that plus it will take under 10 minutes. Seriously.

It's going to be a short post, because its just that easy. Ready? Set. Go!

This is all you will need besides a mixer. ( If you want it simple, grab a whisk and a bowl, its totally up to you) My mixer and I have a symbiotic relationship, so I went with my old tried and true KA!
Empty all the Oreos in a ziploc bag and close it, try to get out all the air too.
Grab a rolling pin and let out all your frustrations! Just WHACK ! WHACK! WHACK!
Until you have crumbs and you feel better and less tense from the days frustrations.
Mix 2 cups of water with 1 package of instant chocolate pudding. I used Devils Food because thats what I had in the house.
Then dump 1 container of Cool Whip into the chocolate pudding.
Mix until there are no streaks and it's all the same color.
Line up your plastic cups. Clear, squat cups work best just because you can see the layers, but whatever you have on hand will work just as well.
Add about a tablespoon of crushed Oreos in each cup.
I wanted clear, straight cups but this is what I had so I used it.
Reserve about 1 cup of crushed Oreos and add the remainder to the chocolate pudding/Cool Whip mix. Then fill the cups about 3/4 full.
Top with another tablespoon of the reserved Oreos.
Throw on a gummy worm or 2 and et voila! You have a dirt cup!!!

These are one of the easiest, cutest desserts that you will find. I made these when I was younger with my mom and we had a blast, I always looked forward to Halloween because I knew we'd have an excuse to make them!

Belive it or not, they're also versitile. You can make a sand cup justs by swaping the chocolate pudding for vanilla and now they even have vanilla Oreos. Back in the day ( eh-hem) my mom and I would use Vienna Fingers and top them with that candy that looks like rocks. I remember even using those chocolates that are in the shape of sea shells a few times.

They're your cups, make them any way you want them, thats the fun of it!!

Dirt Cup Recipe

1 package Oreos
1 box instant chocolate pudding
2 cups milk
1 8oz. tub Cool Whip
12 clear plastic cups
gummy worms

I told you it was easy! I hope everyone has a wondeful and safe Halloween !
